I thought the Brownie Buttons selected for Tuesdays With Dorie this week – click on HERE on Jayma’s site for the recipe and on the TWD blogroll for more buttons – were cute and tasty enough but not terribly exciting; since I didn’t have much to say about the buttons, I had planned on making an incredibly tenuous connection between Brownie Buttons and Doga (yes, that’s dog-yoga, and no, Eloise and I don’t practice it, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it was offered in Marin), but thanks to the Sentence-Blog-Post-Week Challenge, y’all are spared of my ridiculous idea for a post.
Ok, now you have to write about dog yoga at some point. I have no idea what it is, though I imagine it involves multiple variations on the "downward facing dog" pose? ;-)
Ah yes, one of the great challenges of blogging - trying to make some basic brownies relate to some other interesting concept. Although I couldn't stop eating these, I know what you mean - I don't think I liked them more than some of the other Dorie brownies we've made so far. Nothing too special by comparison.
I came across your blog and saw that you enjoy baking and experimenting with new recipes. Stonyfield Farm makes Oikos Organic Greek yogurt which can be used in a variety of ways while cooking – in baking, as a substitute for sour cream and mayonnaise, in dips and sauces and to create tasty low-fat dishes. Greek yogurt is strained, making it thicker and more versatile in recipes than regular yogurt. Oikos is organic, which means it's made without artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners, and it's made from organic milk produced without the use of toxic persistent pesticides, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, or artificial growth hormones (rBST). We feel that organic is not only better for you, but better for the planet as well.
I'd love to send you coupons to give Oikos a try. If you're interested just send me an email at kdrociak@stonyfield.com and let me know where to send them.
Well, they're cute even if not exciting, and really, I'd be happy being "cute" because there's usually plenty of excitement around; love your sentence, but now I'm incredibly curious about doga...

LOL LOL This is a hilarious post! Your idea was not ridiculous... at least I don't find, but I'm not what to think about dog yoga though! LOL
In the meantime, your I too thought them so-so brownies, look pretty nice!
Your bites are cute! There seem to be a lot of mixed reviews on them this week. I liked them but sorry to hear they weren't a favorite for you.
Yours look super chocolaty -- mine didn't get rich and fudgy at all.
Although it would be interesting to hear about dog-yoga. Your buttons look cute. Great sentence!
Well at least they look cute!
HAHA! Your posts are hilarious.
Man, I want some of those bronwie buttons. You're killing me again.
Even though they weren't a favorite, they look great! I wasn't crazy for these either...
Those look perfect and your sentence said it all.
I practice yoga regularly, but I have never heard of Doga!!! I am totally googling Doga to see how that works!! LOL! Your buttons look awesome!!
They look beautiful!
Funny post and I’m sorry you didn’t love them.
Your brownie buttons look soo yummy! And I'm disappointed I don't get to hear about the connection between them and Doga!

your brownies are adorable, even if they weren't super satisfying...
Oh darn, I wanted to hear all about Doga, LOL.
Your brownie buttons are cute as a button!
I thought these were delicious! If you had any while still warm they really had an orange flavor. That doubled with dark chocolate is my fave :)

With beautiful photos like these, you don't need words. I decided to make these with the Katharine Hepburn brownie recipe and they were fantastic.
Yup, you got it in one Margot - they look cute, taste OK, but are not terribly exciting.
